doggone stupid storylines

Ok, I've totally had it with this idiotic baby storyline with Ashley/Adam & Mary Jane. Now, according to the Y&R spoilers, Mary Jane kills Zappato. As if Adam cleaning up his stepmother's cooch wasn't gross enough, we have MJ killing innocent animals. The writers SUCK, and this has gone on WAY TOO LONG. No wonder the previous Adam left.

How pathetic is it that Paul has been trying to figure out who MJ is all this time, and, according to the spoilers, his brother the Father figures out who she is when she comes to his confessional? Typical Paul storyline.

I think it's pathetic that the writers are suddenly making Nicki doubt her feelings for Paul. You can tell they're gearing up for her "disappearance" when it coincides with the time she was away from the show due to her contract dispute. All this time she's been happy with Paul, now suddenly she's thinking she's still in love with that misogynistic ex-husband of hers.

Not surprisingly, today was the anniversary of Serena's death. Ya know, if I was a big geek with no life, I'd write these things down and see if they're anywhere near the correct date, but I don't care. Can't wait to see whose birthday or anniversary is on Monday's show. Oy.

i don't

Nick to Phyllis: "I promise to stay true and faithful to you."

Let's see how many days it takes for him to break THAT vow.

Phyllis to Nick: "You're a great man." No, he's an asshole.

Nick and Phyllis' renewing of their vows, or as I like to refer to it, "FF'ing material."

thursday's thoughts

I couldn't believe it today when Phillip said to Chance, "I hope you will never be faced with an impossible situation" insinuating the way he had been . HELLO?! The guy just came back from war. There's a pretty good chance he faced impossible situations on a daily basis. Geez, that idiot Phillip is so wrapped up in himself.

I can't BELIEVE Phyllis is falling for Nick's bullshit again. When he said, "There's nothing we can't survive together," I thought, "how about your sexing it up with Sharon?" UGH!!!

The baby that plays Delia is so sweet. The other day when Chance was holding her, Delia looked up at Chloe and had the most beautiful expression on her face. It was adorable.

thursday's thoughts

Ok, how unlikely is it that Jack wouldn't see MJ standing in the window right behind the counter at the coffee shop? About as unlikely as her being able to sneak in and out of the swanky Athletic Club looking like a total bum, without being seen by anyone.

Sharon is HORRIBLE lying to Jack the way she is. He deserves to know the truth, and I don't get why she had to lie when he told her flat out before that he would raise the baby no matter who the father is.

Adam is one busy boy in the sex department, isn't he? Geez, two potential booty calls in one day. And HOW RIDICULOUS to tell Rafe that he "mistook gratitude for attraction". He had to boff Rafe up the butt to figure that one out?!

Wish I had a quarter for every time I heard the word "gaslighting" on the show these days. It's almost as nauseating as the word "Reliquary" was during one of their previously boring art storylines.

Despite the fact that she's incredibly obnoxious, Nicki should have told Heather the truth about Adam and Rafe, if for nothing else than health reasons. I can't believe Rafe didn't have the balls--pun intended--to come right out and ASK Heather if she and Adam are involved. It has to be fairly common knowledge since they've been dating a long time now.

On a personal note, Sharon Case looks much better with the side bangs. I hated that mullet look she's been sporting for the last year or two. Anybody know if she's pregnant in real life? Her cheeks look a little chubbier and that's usually where it shows up first.

I don't know when the last day of Guiding Light is, but I wish TPTB at Y&R would snap up Crystal Chappell. I LOVE her. She's such a good actress.

thoughts on recent Y&R eps

Did you notice the scene in which Katherine was laying in the hospital after being diagnosed with a slight stroke? She told Olivia that she couldn't move her left side, yet when someone asked her a question, she shrugged her shoulders, moving the left side just fine.

Isn't it interesting how Phillip came up with a plan to bring Cane to GC at the EXACT MOMENT that Kay began having her dreams? How, pray tell, can he take credit for inducing the dreams? Give me a big, fat break on this one, writers, because YOU BLEW IT. Who would rather let their family believe they were dead, than tell them the truth about being gay? What stopped him from just leaving without telling them ANYTHING? The writers deserve an F for this ridiculous storyline.

And what is with Neil lately? Somebody please tell him that Lily is his DAUGHTER, not his WIFE. And now he's leaving Chancellor Industries to devote himself to Lily 24/7? Isn't having cancer bad enough?! Ugh.

Did Nicki EVER tell Victor that Adam is involved with Rafe? It seems like that would be something you'd remember to tell someone, if for no other reason than it inhibits his ability to be 100% honest when he's investigating Adam.

LMAO the other day when Jill said, "How many times does a person get a second chance to get it right?" On this show, quite a few.

I agree with Kay and Nina giving Phillip a hard time. Nothing can excuse the fact that he allowed his son to grow up without a father. And I don't recall him even asking about his son.

BTW, anyone else think Thom B needs to take some serious acting lessons?! It's like he's phoning it in already.

If I were in Lily's shoes, I think I'd be prone to forgive Cane. After all, he took nothing from Jill and Kay and actually treated them very well for the most part. Jill seems to care for him more than her own sons.

Jack told Mary Jane that it had "been a long time" since he'd seen her last? For Pete's sake, she only "left town" two days prior. Again, writers, pay attention to detail.

BTW, I have no idea what Victor pays for security at the ranch, but he seriously needs to fire them. People come and go all the time on that ranch and the guards are totally clueless.

coming back around

I find it rather ironic that Victor railed at Nicki for months about how she brought David into their lives--even though he was the one who brought him to GC to work on the campaign--and that David was responsible for the death of Sabrina and his baby.

I wonder how ole Vic's kids are going to feel when they find out he was responsible for bringing MJ to Genoa City, and she almost killed Summer. I can't wait to see Paul's reaction, too.

Even now when he knows that she might have been the one to hurt Summer, Vic is still keeping his mouth shut. Great job, jackass.

today's rant

One aspect of Y&R that I do like is the strong bond between Daniel and Noah and now Summer. But I have to wonder what in the world Daniel knows about struggling to pay the bills? He went on tour with his rich daddy, his mother got him a job at Restless Style taking pictures when he had ABSOLUTELY NO experience behind the camera and now he's got this "job" where he wanders around all day, pretty much doing nothing but solving crime. He should seriously think about changing his last name to "Hardy".

Speaking of wandering around doing nothing, Jill has supposedly lost every cent she has, yet we've only seen her work one day at a salon, and she hasn't skipped a beat financially. She's still getting coffee at the coffee shop and dressing to the nines. Everyone who has lost money in this recession should be making out so well. Nice to see that a CEO can become a manicurist and not struggle financially.

Neil made a total ass out of himself screaming at Cane the way he did yesterday. Lily willingly showed up at the house and yet Neil carried on like she was kidnapped. Oy. He shouldn't have written off Tyra and Karen so quickly. Lord knows he needs a life of his own.

LOVED the expression on Victoria's face when Nicki told her about Adam and Rafe. I think the reason I dislike this storyline so much is because it's perfectly obvious that both of these guys are uncomfortable acting this gay story out. And that makes it uncomfortable for the viewers as well.

Nina & Jill

I think Nina and Jill did a FABULOUS job on today's show. When Nina lit into Phillip, I was practically applauding. He gave her that tired "I was just a kid!" line knowing full well that she was just a kid, too, with a baby to care for.

Jill's shock was really genuine, as well as her anger in the hospital when Phillip tried to explain why he put them through years of suffering for nothing. Great job by both ladies!

I just wish someone would have hauled off and slugged him

One thing that didn't make any sense in Phillip's explanation: he said he paid the doctor and the cop good money to help him leave town. Wouldn't someone have noticed that a huge chunk of money was taken out of Phillip's account AFTER his accident occurred? Or are we supposed to believe that he, too, had an account in the Caymen's no one knew about?

users and losers

So by now it's well known that Mary Jane is really Paul Williams' sister, Patti.

I can't help but wonder what Paul's going to think when he finds out that good ole Victor brought his obviously mentally unstable sister to Genoa City to ruin Jack.

Great show on Friday with Phillip returning rom the dead, but they're going to need more of a storyline than a "sorry, I was gay and drinking and couldn't deal with it" to convince me that abandoning your wife and child was justified.

have you noticed...

That in the last few weeks every freaking day is the anniversary of SOMETHING?!

It's either the anniversary of Cassie's death or the anniversary of the day Nick proposed--yeah, like he'd remember THAT--or the anniversary of Jack & Patti's engagement.

ENOUGH ALREADY.

thoughts on wednesday's show

When did Mac become a doctor, and why in God's name did they sit there trying to diagnose Katherine instead of calling for an ambulance immediately?!

And taking her in a CAR when she could have had a stroke or heart attack?

Good farking grief. It's hard to believe there were well educated people in that room because they certainly acted like complete idiots.

LOVED IT when Tyra yelled, 'Screw you, Devon, screw you!' He's so damn self righteous, just like his dad. I actually feel sorry for her when Devon says crap like Neil will never love her like he did Dru. He will never love another women like Dru because they aren't Dru.

Have you noticed that Y&R never even HINTS at people having a relationship with a Higher Power UNTIL they're in trouble or someone is dying? We've had so many 'come to Jesus' meetings this week, I feel like I'm watching Pat Robertson.
