Olivia turned out to be a great friend to Karen, didn’t she? What in the world she thinks Neil and Tyra have in common is beyond me. I don’t think he has chemistry with either one of them.

Why in the world does TGVN keep mooning over that kid he lost? He should be grateful. It’s just one more kid he won’t have to ignore when it grows up. And who in the WORLD is HE to be giving advice about family?! He told Victoria--just one of the children he treats like crap when he feels like it--that her loved ones could be ripped away at any moment so she should cherish them. I never realized that the DA had the ability to let an arrested criminal leave on his own recognizance? First, Heather has Adam arrested and read his rights. Second, he shows up at her office in his suit, so obviously he didn’t spend the night in jail. Where was he? Then she questions him and LETS HIM GO! She’s a judge now? Has she never heard of “flight risk”? And again, isn’t all of this up to a JUDGE to decide? Geez, no wonder she can’t hang on to this job.

Prosecuting Victor Newman is a “conflict of interest” for Heather, but prosecuting her ex-finace ISN’T? I LMAO when the DA said to Heather, “Remind me never to cross you.“ Why? She hasn’t won a single case yet.

Wasn't it great how they slid that V8 public service announcement into the show at Crimson Lights? Could they have BEEN more obvious?

I LMAO when Adam said to Heather, “Nobody’s going to believe a three time loser like Ellis.” And yet his own fiancee did. Adam would tell the truth IF he thought Heather didn’t love him? WTH? What gives with Victor being able to meet with another prisoner any time he feels like it? So much of this show is bullshit anymore. And if Ellis rats out Adam and Jack at the drop of a hat, why wouldn’t he tell everyone that Victor is helping his family in exchange for his confession? You know it’ll come back to bite Victor in the ass because it’s illegal.

Lauren must be a glutton for punishment if she wants Eden to stay. Isn’t she surrounded by enough liars in the Baldwin family?

If the warehouse Lowell and Michael meet at has merchandise in it, how is it that they can come and go as they please?

Michael turns in Lowell because he’s looked the other way too much in his life? Wonder how he’s going to deal with Mommy dearest and the tainted face cream? He knew all about her involvement in that fiasco, too.
I think the key to this whole case is that they never proved that the woman died from the cream, and Jeffrey hasn’t died so obviously it wasn’t deadly. I bet they get her on product tampering or something like that.

What’s with Jana? She was going on and on about how Kevin needed to “do the right thing,” then she turns around and gives Katherine’s money to Lowell! If she wanted to do the “right thing” she should have returned that money to Katherine’s family. BTW, last month Kevin told Daniel the $10k was the monthly take at CL. Now today he’s claiming $2k is the monthly take. Which is it?

What prison would allow two inmates to meet in a cell together like Victor and the forger? None. And no judge would take a word of that inmate's "testimony" seriously if he knew Victor was paying him.

I loved it yesterday when Michael said, “I can’t wait to hear this either.” Jack leaves his credit card statements with Michael?!

Speaking of Michael, he and Victor must be communicating telepathically these days. Victor hadn't talked to Michael at all during today's show, and yet he had dirt on the forger. How so? Maybe he Googled him? BWAHAHAHA!
If the forger didn't think enough of his family to stay and support them, why would he care if his family was taken care of in exchange for info?

How stupid was Phyllis to reveal that she knew about Jack’s credit cards before she sent the information to Sharon? She should have kept her mouth shut about what she knew before she played her hand. Jack is going to go straight to her.

Can’t wait to see Nick’s reaction when he realizes the cover of Restless Style was shot in Paris. And who’s running the magazine? When there were FOUR people in charge, they had to be there every moment, micromanaging each other, working late at night, figuring out who was going to grace the cover. Now, no one is there. I’m sure Glo will be suitably shocked when Jack double crosses her. Even though this is the same guy who tricked her out of her inheritance and kept her from attending her husband’s funeral. Yep, she’ll never see it coming.

I read that Ashley shows up at the board meeting and shakes things up. I’m wondering if she takes over the company? That would be a real coup and I love anything that puts a spanner in Jack’s works.

Heather said she won’t lose Victor’s case this time around and referred to him as the “man who cost her her job”. Really? I thought her ineptitude cost her the job.

With all this Nikki and Paul stuff, I wonder if they’re leading towards a relationship? Ugh. He’s so boring.

Funny how Jack can give Noah advice about women and even tell him all the things he did wrong, yet he never bothers to do anything about it. Talk is cheap, I guess. And Sharon thinks Jack is a “great step-father”? How has he shown that? By lying and publicly humiliating the kid during all that political stuff?

Mike tells Eden everything will be ok if she follows the rules and tells the truth and she turns right around and lies. Way to work with him, kid. I’d be worried about my future, too, if I was as much of a lying brat she is. Course she fits right in with the Baldwin clan. Lying is their middle name.

Phyllis is stunned that Brad turned Vic in to the police? Somebody was bound to. Why not one of his worst enemies? I'm wondering why in the world Victor wasn't arrested at the airport? I get a kick out of the way Jack glares at Victor like they’re in first grade and Victor just knocked him down and stole his lunch money. The Abbotts have a way of totally ignoring the purpose of the funeral and making it all about Victor. Nice of them. Jack is such a jerk. Of course, Victor was thinking of himself during the funeral. LOL! Who else is there?

Adam is a swell guy. He apparently feels no qualms about using Heather for his own ends.

If there was a massive water leak, so bad that Kevin couldn’t attend Mrs. C’s funeral, why was the coffee shop open at all? Where was he getting the water to make the coffee? Doesn’t one usually turn the water OFF when there’s a leak? And what about the public restrooms? He had to wait for a certified plumber to turn the water off?

Heather didn’t think Kevin’s questions about Mrs. C’s money a bit odd? I love how Kevin puts it right in the safe. A safe I’m sure Jana never opens…oy. Why is Kevin stressing about this plumber bill anyway? Didn’t he make $10 in one week? LOL!

Tricia Cast was acting a tad too happy during the funeral. It looked really out of place.

Dina came in for Katherine’s funeral even though they “were once friends,” yet she never bothered to come for John’s funeral OR Jack’s wedding? I found it interesting that she had to tell both her son and her daughters that she came because she and Katherine used to be good friends. Wouldn’t her family know that?

It was nice to see Brock and Nina. Damn, I wish she’d come back onto the show. It was cool to see her and Danny together, especially when you think back to how young they were when they were all on the show together. Too bad Christine wasn’t on.

Jill had really good scenes this week, as did Phyllis when she went crazy at the tack house. Why in the world doesn’t the make-up department use WATER PROOF mascara on Amber? She always looks like a cheap ho during crying scenes.

Wasn’t it nice to see that pig Victor Newman stride into church and ignore his own children? Typical asshole.

Why wasn’t “concerned” Gloria at the funeral? And where were Mike and Lauren and Kevin and Jana? Aside from Amber, it would be a bigger hoot if she left CI to Glo.

Nice to see the veteran cast returning, including Mitchell Sherman’s toupee. He officially has more hair now than he did before.

Michael‘s father said to him, “Didn’t you tell me there was nothing you wouldn’t do to protect your son? Why should Gloria be any different?” Gee, I don’t know, maybe because she stood by and let her husband torment the shit out of Kevin? And why would anyone believe her? She lies about every thing. Speaking of Michael, while I like Christian, his over the top acting is starting to grate on my nerves. On minute he’s yelling about Gloria’s stupidities and unlawful mechanizations, and the next, he’s enabling her to pull them off.

Geez, I never realized there were so many temperamental models until Restless Style came along. Only about four issues and they’re had a problem with every damn one of ‘em. Now half of the executive staff is missing and Phyllis is leaving, too. On one hand, the writers keep telling us that publishing a magazine is hard work; on the other, they’re showing us a magazine can publish itself. Once again, good job, writing staff.

Tyra didn’t even have the common courtesy to intro Olivia to the police detective? “Thanks to her, you’ve got a date”? Oy. Nothing like making “her” feel like the fifth wheel on a wagon.

I was LMAO when they played that cheesy French music as they showed Ashley at the café in Paris. I half expected Pepe LePew to stroll down le boulevard.

Isn’t it fantastic that Daniel is so worldly that he not only knows a photographer in Paris, but he’s being asked to do another art show? Of what? Crappy pencil sketches? Ugh. I’ve seen more talent in 5th graders. And THEN he says he’s “too busy” to sketch? Sure he is. He has a crummy little job working for Mommy--what is it he does at the magazine again, because it certainly isn’t photography?--and yet he’s willing to turn his back on the tons of money he could rake in from the art world because he‘s “too busy“. Yeah, uh huh, sure. Maybe if he wasn’t too busy, he’d have his own money to go to Paris, and wouldn’t be asking Mommy to take him.

Kevin makes $10k a WEEK running a lousy coffee house? Wouldn’t that be a gross of about $520,000 a year?! And Daniel swallowed that bullshit? Dumb and dumber. Ok, I’m off to buy myself a coffee house…

Why do the writers keep trying to impress upon us that Kevin is suddenly in desperate need of cash? The coffee house is always busy and he doesn't seem to be laying off his huge staff of two or three....depending on whether or not Colleen feels like working.

I hate when the writers force a situation instead of writing one that follows a natural progression of events. There was no devestating fire at the coffee house or no illness that forced Kevin or Jana to quit working. This is almost as pathetic as the time Kevin suddenly became a computer genius overnight.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't Kevin get part of Glo's money? Didn't Kevin get part of Michael's lottery money? Didn't Kevin get a sports car from Jeff when he was trying to win him over? What happened to all of these assests? Clearly, he hasn't invested any money into remodeling the coffee house, but suddenly we're supposed to accept that he's in dire financial straights.

Why is it that every time Jack is a “bad boy” he tries to bribe Sharon with a trip or a weekend away? He’s such a jerk, and his own worst enemy. He treats women like this all the time. He lies and hides things, then gives the little boy pout/ far away thinking expression and tries to placate them with stupid platitudes. I can’t stand him.

Love how Nick just decides on his own that he’s going to Europe and not coming back till he finds Victor. Nice how he talks things over with his wife. Like father, like son.

This whole Victor/manhunt storyline gets dumber every day. What crime has he been charged with? Leading his own life?

Y&R writers, get on the damn stick already. Give us a REASON for this extensive manhunt, instead of them wanting to question Victor about Palin's death.

They didn't prove through autopsy that he was killed by any means other than drowning, so how in the world are they going to prove Victor killed him? Heather hasn't won a single case yet. No wonder the Newmans are all snickering at her efforts.

Personally I say, 'let him STAY lost!' I'm loving the fact that Braeden isn't mucking up my tv screen anymore.

About their daughter blabbing to Heather, today she said to Nick, "...hearing her go on and on about the bugs that Mommy and Daddy found in front of the DA."

All the kid said was, "The bug scared me." Puhleeze. Heather isn't smart enough to figure out she's talking about a listening device and not a real bug.

Heather really is a force to be reckoned with in the DA's office, isn't she? Couldn't solve JiMin's case, couldn't figure out Amber kept the real money and burned up fake, couldn't make the charges against Phyllis stick, and now that she's back anew, the case against Brad has been dropped since both Walter and David are dead. Conveniently, Brad faces no charges. Usually when someone dies, the charges start piling up, not the other way around.

But, of course, Heather does give him and Jill a good talking to!

BTW, with all the jet setting Nikki and Nick are doing lately, who the hell is putting together the latest issue of RS, which seems to squeak in past the deadline at the last minute every month as it is?

Why is Sharon suddenly going off on Jack? What happened to that cutesy little speech she gave him when they were working at Restless Style? The one that went something like, "I know you won't stop lying, so I'll pretend I don't notice when you do"? Please. She knew he was a liar when she married him. Jack is just being Jack so why is Sharon acting like this is the first time she's seen this sort of deceptive behavior?

Michael's sister is a real joy to watch isn't she? The thought of having to put up with her petty bullshit teenage drama---and you just KNOW she's FULL OF IT--makes me ill. We had that with Cassie, Lily, Colleen, Daniel, and now Noah.

The fact that surly Eden was all, "nobody likes me," and then the very first day she's approached by 'cool kids'? Don't think so. I'm surprised she wasn't approached by the school druggies or the alcoholics. They could all be depressed and miserable together. Weeeeee!

What gives with Amber trying to pimp her damn designs on every celeb who walks into the office? It's an embarrassment to the magazine.

The whole concept of her putting ads in RS to begin with was ridiculous. What was supposed to happen? She'd be taking orders and having a backroom full of school age kids sewing them up? Obviously the idea was ill-conceived in the first place. The writers need to let this stupidity GO and save it for when she's leaving the show and suddenly becomes hella famous.

What's the deal with Lily suddenly boo hoo'ing about Colleen taking Daniel, as well as her job? As IF she gives a rat's ass about him anymore.

I think she's jealous Cane has replaced her so quickly after making such a fuss over the fact that Lily "was" the "fresh face" of the campaign. Guess she's never heard of a snow job in the name of business.

All I have to say is, "Suck it up, Buttercup. You were only too happy to kick Daniel to the curb and it was your choice to ditch the job. Why not enjoy the fact that your best friend has a chance to shine in the spotlight? Or are you only happy when YOU'RE in the spotlight?"

Is there such a shortage of good looking young women in the world that Cane has to go around asking people in his friend pool if they want to be the "Fresh Face" of Jabot? The writers have GOT to be shitting us. A week or so ago, Nikki throws a chair through Victor's window and instead of REPAIRING THE DAMN THING, it's still there?! Only Victor Newman would have guards at his gate, guards at his front door and a gaping hole in the side of his house. Oy. Heaven forbid GC gets a rainstorm....

What gives with Daniel’s goofy Charlie Chaplin look? And his "incredible" drawings that simply rocked the art world? Puhleeze. They looked like one of those “draw the turtle” sketches from the “do you think you have what it takes to be an artist?” ad. Although the bowl of fruit did speak to me. Made me hungry for an apple.

I can’t help but laugh every time Phyllis or Nick or Sharon or Jack act like they’ve been putting out RS for years. Today Phyllis said, “This stuff happens all the time.” They’ve only been publishing for a couple months. How would she know it happens “all the time”?

I’m not liking Colleen lately at all. She and Daniel agreed it was a rebound thing and she only went after him when she realized he still had feelings for Amber.

The sum total of Phyllis’ dialogue today was something like this: “Blah blah Nick blah Nick. Nick blah Nick blah blah Nick Nick blah.”

How Zappoto lost his groove...
Why he hung around with TGVN, of course. His “poor poor pitiful me” routine is depressing even the dog. What’s with the sketch of Sabrina Victor is staring at? Doesn’t the man have any photos of their time together? To me they seemed like one of those couples who would have their portraits taken in cutesy poses every week, don't you think? Pics of them in identical outfits, identical colors, on the stairs, outside by a tree, with the dog...blah blah, endless poses. And yet, not one picture of Sabrina is sitting on the piano for Victor to pick up and gaze at longingly like Nikki used to do every week with the kids when her "job" used to be walking around the living room wringing her hands. Not even a damn video of Vic & Sabrina's happy times edited together with their favorite love song.

Why does Nikki think Victor is going to answer her phone calls when he won’t even allow her on the property? What part of "leave me alone" doesn't she get?

What’s with Phyllis saying she has a “HUGE stake” in Restless Style? Forgive me if I’m wrong, but Nick shelled out the $ for their half of the investment to begin with, and his daddy covered the loan for Jack’s share this week. So what IS her contribution? Other than being the best (and apparently the only) web master in the Free World? We know this because she reminds us ever so frequently.

Why would the Mexican authorities contact the Genoa City DA’s office? No one knows about Victor’s connection to Walter in Mexico and as far as everyone knows, he drowned during a storm. Even so, Victor has nothing to worry about as far as Heather is concerned. We’ve all seen her case solving “skills”. Gotta laugh though at how the show’s producers aren’t missing the opportunity to show her in her underwear every chance they can. Good thing. Lord knows she has no "assets" when it comes to beings an assistant DA.

Congrats to Nikki on once again magically curing her addiction. First it was the pill addiction she magically cured during a cruise. Now it’s the alcoholism. Even though she drank herself under the table in Mexico, she hasn’t touched a drink since. It must be the power of her love for Victor that’s “curing” her. No wonder people don’t react anymore when Victor “dies”. This is the fourth time he’s done it. When he finally does die, the kids won’t even bother with a funeral cuz they won’t believe it. Victor “died” back in ‘83 to fool his secretary Eve; he “died” back in ‘93 when he disappeared to Kansas and was mugged. The mugger died in the crash and they ASSumed it was Vic. Back in ‘99, when he was on an island with Nikki, he found out Brad & Jack took over his company so he flew back home and his plane crashed. Once again he was presumed dead.

This will be HILARIOUS: when Victor returns, he walks in on Heather and Adam sexing it up on the living room couch. He glares at them and walks right past them without a word. I can almost smell the scorn. Or is that sperm? Seriously, have these two ever heard of a “bedroom” or “privacy” since apparently everybody and their mother walks through the front door of the “well guarded” ranch.
Then he calls Michael and has him summon Neil to the ranch because apparently Michael is now Victor’s personal secretary. He reinstates Neil--can’t wait to see the look on smug Brad’s face when he finds out he played both ends and lost. But this upsets me--Victoria and Nicholas race to the ranch to see Victor, but he refuses to see them. He has “some things to straighten out”. Bullshit. Then Victor calls Adam in and in a few short words dismisses him from the company and boots him off the ranch. YAY! Apparently in Victor’s letter to Adam, he asked him to share with his brother and sister, which he refused to do. I just wonder if this means Nick and Victoria will have to give back their crummy “inheritance”? I have to admit, it was an absolute hoot when Victoria tried to make it seem like she and Nick were thrilled with their crappy “gifts” and she said to Adam, “All you got was money. I hope it makes you happy,” and he said with smug smile, “It does.” LOL! I’m with ya on that one, Adam.

Apparently Chloe/Kate hasn’t told mama Esther of her arrival in Genoa City because she’s deeply ashamed of her mother. Yeah, this from a greedy chick who forced an innocent man to marry her and is lying about the father of her baby. I still it’s Billy. They’re not bringing him back for nothing, and the way the results of the DNA test was worded leads me to that conclusion. They did NOT say, “Cane is the father,” they said Cane’s DNA was in the same grouping as the baby’s father. My guess is she found out about Cane while sexing it up with Billy and she moved to GC to stake her claim. Esther shows up at Crimson Lights in that ridiculous maid’s outfit--who WEARS those things outside of Halloween parties?!--and Chloe/Kate is mortified. Sorry, can’t work up any sympathy for poor Chloe. There's nothing shameful in doing an honest day's work for an honest day's pay.

A lot of people online are complaining about Ana’s constant singing. One even asked if “she had a record deal with Sony”. LOL! Funny thing is “Colleen” DOES have a record deal and I was afraid she was constantly going to be singing. Caught me off guard when they brought this obnoxious character in.

Every time I see Restless Style, Sharon or Jack or Phyllis or Nick are answering the phones and dodging questions from reporters. Jill's calls from reporters come straight to the mansion phone and Katherine and Victor have even gotten calls from reporters on their private cell phones.

Shouldn't they have people taking care of this sort of stuff for them?

OMG!!! What a great spoiler….Chloe is really Kate, Esther’s daughter! Nikki finds Victor on the beach tomorrow. Of course he survived, he’s The Great Victor Newman. A mere devastating storm at sea is no match for him!

I love the way Jack tries to justify his dirty dealings by putting a good spin on it, like his reasoning as to why they should to the Victor story. I can’t believe Sharon actually caught on to his motives for once. Too bad she’s not smart enough to leave him. She continues to be caught in the middle because of Jack’s behavior, yet she continues to enable it. She doesn’t make Jack answer for any of his actions. Instead of telling him she expects him to act honorably, she told him she had no expectations, thus giving him free reign to be the lying jerk he’s always been.

Ooooo, Brad in charge of Newman, and Heather aka “that woman” is living at the ranch. And poor Vic’s been “dead” only one or two days. I’m loving it. Heather and Adam are going to give Vic’s belongings to GOOD WILL?! LOL! Hysterical. Victor’s probably rolling over in his nonexistent grave. I will admit, some of the storylines are much juicer since the new writer took over.

a correction

I checked on Kevin S's age--NuNoah---again, and he's not 28 as I originally stated. The website was incorrect. He's only 20.

Weird thing is, there's only 8 years between Daniel and Sharon, which really surprised me, and only 11 years between Michelle and Michael, so again, they screwed up with the casting there. I had no idea that Michael G was that close in age to her. Wikipedia lists him as 14 years younger than Michelle, but it lists his birth year as 1979 and hers as 1968, which would only be 11 years.

But in all fairness, if Michael G shaved his facial hair, he could really pass for a 16 yr old.

When kajillionaire Steve Fossett was missing in September 2007, he was not declared legally dead until February 2008 after months and months of searching. One must admire how quickly the Mexican government works. Victor is missing one day, and he's declared dead, his death cert is issued and Adam is acting like a power hungry dictator at Newman. I’m loving that part, though. Can’t wait to see the smart ass fall on his face.

Lily is sorry she didn’t go to modeling school?! She stepped out of total obscurity into a contract with a major cosmetic company, and she’s sorry she didn’t go to modeling school?! Gawd she IS stupid.

Funny how Colleen couldn’t be bothered to go to Jana’s shower, but she shows up at the wedding.

Although the whole “mystic” wedding ceremony was goofy, I loved Lauren’s dress today on the show. It was the perfect color for her.

I don’t like Judith Chapman’s new hair color. Waaaay to dark and what’s with the skunk stripes by her face? The idea is to look younger. Not more Vampira-like.

Katherine: “You’re going to appoint Cane CEO."
Jill: “As his grandmother, I would think you’d be thrilled.”
And yet, as her daughter, Jill never even bothered to tell Katherine she was giving Cane the job.

Ashley gave Traci her proxy for what reason? She flew in for a ten minute meeting in which there was no vote. And why was Brad trying to get her to agree to support his bid for CEO? Again, there was no vote so it made no sense.

I think Jill really wants Cane as CEO, not because he’s “the only one” she can trust, but because she wants to micromanage the business from every end. Since when does “loyalty” come before “experience” when a big company is looking for a CEO?

Gotta love the way Jana puts all her faith in her relationship with Kevin in a Ouija board. Don’t let her near the horoscope section of the paper, Kev!

A model holding a skull for an high fashion magazine? Huh? And why would you have a supposedly upscale magazine and then fill it with crappy articles like the gossip filled one on Sabrina and this business with Jill? The writers need to make up their minds about this magazine pronto: is it like Cosmo or the National Enquirer? Because ya can’t have both.

Love how Colleen blew off Jana’s bachelorette party for a date that she could have any night of the week. Sweet. Then she blew off her own mother who she hadn’t seen in how long. "Oh, if only you'd told me you were coming." Riiight.

Sadly, I was wrong about Eric Braeden going on vacation, but I was right about one thing: he’s doing all his “acting” with his hands in his pockets. That, combined with the baseball cap disguise and the black t shirt means he’s doing his “tough guy routine” ala Bobby Marscino. I bet we see some right hooks before this is all over. Victor doesn't work the hell out of that punching bag for nada.

Cane thinks Chloe might leave town with the baby and never come back? Is he delusional or what? He must be the only one who can’t see the huge “gold digging opportunist” sign on her forehead. No way is that chick leaving her mealticket behind.

The writers are doing an EXCELLENT job of turning Sharon into a Stepford Wife. "I support you no matter what." Give me a break with this mealy mouthed bullshit. What is wrong with her these days?

thoughts on today's show

I love how Nick is concerned about his dad and his half brother, and in the very same breath he starts talking about sex with Phyllis. What a leap. Next thing you see “worried” Adam is making out with Heather in the Newman living room. Sweet how everyone is off worrying themselves sick about Victor.

Lauren said to Michael, “Honey, you’re looking for your dad and Victor. You must be exhausted.” Geez, it’s not like he’s out there physically doing any LOOKING.

Chloe gets released from the hospital and the doctor tells her to rest with her feet up so she goes out to a nightclub to do that? She’s going to make a fine mother.

I hardly think Victoria and Nicholas see Adam as any sort of threat, as suggested by Heather. And how crass of her to say, “some day all of this will be yours” when Adam’s father is missing.

Watching that self-righteous Devon lecture Cane was a hoot.

Even in a foreign country Victor Newman manages to find some peon kid to do his work for him. Kid should have told him to get his own damn meds.

Word is that Karen is on her way out again. I don’t know why they brought her back, to be perfectly frank. But now that she’s here they need to play Tyra against her. I think that’s why Tyra is suddenly telling Neil that Devon and Ana are brother and sister. To stay close to him. Speaking of Karen, did you know that Nia Peeples real name is Virenia Gwendolyn Peeples? Yep, I’d change it too.

The new and improved (as well as older) Noah will reappear from “camp” on August 13th, as well as Traci Abbott.

Jana and Kevin will marry on August 15th.

According to the Feds, Nikki and Victor are still legally married.

Damn it, I was hoping Eric Braeden was on vacation. That was the only redeeming factor in the Sabrina death story as far as I was concerned: the fact that Victor would “disappear”. I had no ide he’d “disappear” and yet stay on our screen day after day. Sigh.

Wasn't it just a few weeks back that Jill was accusing Nikki of nepotism? NOW she's offering the job of CEO to Cane. CANE who used to be in charge of construction of Clear Springs. BTW, anybody remember Clear Springs and how it would "change the face of Y&R forever?" It's never even mentioned anymore.

Anyway, Cane was in charge of construction, then was suddenly in charge of cosmetics deals, now he'll be in charge of the entire company? At least David and Vicki had business experience, which is more than Jill can claim for Cane.

The only thing I'm loving about this is the way Jill's putting the screws to Brad Carleton...LOL!!!

It's just plain stupid and downright irresponsible of Victor not to tell his kids where he's going OR that he's going away. And damn I hope Eric Braeden is on vacation and we don't have to sit through even MORE of a Victor Newman storyline.

But this is typical Victor behavior. It irks me no end when,for instance, he'll be talking to a family member like Victoria, and he receives word that Nikki has been in an accident. Instead of telling Victoria, he'll say, "Ummm, I have to leave right now. I'll talk to you later." That asinine habit IRKS ME NO END. Who does that stupidity?!

How does taking a spit test from Cane and a blood test from Chloe prove who the father of her baby is? Shouldn't they be testing the fluid the baby is in via amnio? Of course, Chloe's baby wouldn't even be IN an amniotic sac yet because it's supposedly only two - three weeks old and to do this test the baby needs to be 14 - 20 weeks old. They didn't perform a CVS either.

Remember when Brad tried to prove he was the father of Vikki's baby and they had to do an amnio to prove that? They said it was dangerous and she wanted to wait. They didn't do it via any spit test or blood work.

What characters would you like to see vanished from The Young and The Restless?

I'd like to see them dump Victor (permanently, don't keep toying with us with these long vacations of his), Tyra and her singing brat, Devon and Colleen.

One character that I wish they hadn't killed off was Skye. I loved her and I thought she added something to the show, which is more than I can say for anyone on the previous list.

They're bringing back Billy, so they dumped Chow. I noticed when a new character comes on, another one leaves. Sabrina left, and in turn, they signed Michael Gross of Family Ties fame to play Michael's dad. I love Michael Gross. While I thought he'd forever be typecast as Alex Keaton's dad, I've seen him play several different roles since then, including cold blooded killer, and he played them exceptionally well.

I SINCERELY HOPE this "where's Victor" bullshit doesn't turn into another "when will Victoria wake up?!" dragged out story line.

How about this? He's out hunting down Walter, avenging his late wife's death? Knowing the grandiose ways his stories have been written lately, I wouldn't be surprised if TGVN brings down the entire mob....all while walking around with his hands in his pockets.

Michael ramps up his efforts to locate his father as the emotions following Sabrina's death catch up to him. His need to know all about his family becomes very intense! Paul is on the case, and actually locates the guy - but is it really Lowell?

I have to admit, I'm so tired of the Baldwins, I already dread this stupid storyline. The guy is in his early 40's, and he hasn't cared about his father a bit until this point in his life? Puhleeze.
What really amazes me is that the old man has been AWOL for decades, and Michael decides this week he wants to find him, and by Wednesday, that crackerjack, homeless PI Paul, has located the man. Double oy.


As Nikki struggles to avoid drinking in the aftermath of "Sudden Impact", Victor does a disappearing act - no surprise there!

"Sudden Impact"? They have a damn name for that storyline? Oy. "Disappearing act"? Yay! Vacation time for Eric Braeden. Let's hope it's a long one.

Does Karen need to be worried about Tyra moving into Neil's heart as well as his home. Could be - as Neil and Tyra seemingly bond!

Sadly, I don't care about any of these people either. The Winterzzz are about as boring a family as you can find.

The DA told Heather she “did good”?! She has NO SOLID PROOF that David Chow killed JiMin, other than Daddy’s speculation. Why do they even need police and attorneys in Genoa City? Just let Paul Williams, crackerjack P.I, to solve the case. And the DA asking her back is almost as funny as her saying there might be a “whole string of unsolved murders” connected to Chow. How many people died in GC in the last few months?!
