"Eyes on me. Eyes on me"

Phyllis' little goodbye speech was funny. I liked when she said she was leaving because she couldn't be the mother to Summer that she wanted to be and work at the magazine. So she'll quit and start working at Newman. Makes a lot of sense. Isn't it great to know that a HUGELY POPULAR magazine can be put out by about four or five employees?

Gotta love Victor's arrogance and curse Patti's lousy aim. I can't believe that half wit had the arrogance to blame the doctor for Patti's behavior. Someone please explain the term "personal responsibility" to the man.

I'd love to know why no charges have been filed against Victor Newman. He admitted in front of Jack that he was responsible for the surgery and bringing her to GC. Surely there's SOMETHING he can be charged with?!

From start to finish, Billy has really handled the magazine "negotiations" with intelligence. First HE makes an offer without finding out what Nick & Phyllis are asking, then he hands over the check before "finalizing the details". Great business acumen.

be still my beating heart

It was funny how Paul asked Victor before he brought the doctor into his room, as IF TGVN is the decider of what his heart can and can't take.

He is such an arrogant ass.

thoughts on Wednesday's show

Wow, Billy would make a great businessman, wouldn't he? I mean, if he knew what he was doing. Love how HE offered Nick & Phyl money for the magazine instead of even finding out what they wanted. Smooth move, Junior. It's clear why you're in your thirties and still don't have control of your own trust fund.

I'm sure Nicki will take Traci's advice to "think about it long and hard" before she gets involved with Victor again. Yeah, she'll think about that for at least a tenth of a second. No, wait. that's way too long.

son of a bitch

I am sooooo happy the Y&R writers have ditched these ridiculously stupid story lines like the baby switch and Colleen's family donating her heart to the man responsible for her death, and gone with something like Patti having a therapist who looks exactly like her.

That is sooooo much more likely to happen, isn't it?

Tuesday's thoughts

I can't believe Nick had the unmitigated audacity to tell Phyllis that Restless Style is "their dream". And to tell her further NOT to sell. Um, hello, Nick? Who jumped ship to work for Daddy dearest the first chance he got? YOU, jackass. Methinks Nick is probably worried Phyllis will end up working with him again at Newman. How would he possibly flirt with his ex with his wife hanging around? What a drag!

Ryder is so damn stupid hanging with Deacon. He's stuck in jail while Deacon is living the good life. Yeah, smart choice there. If his mommy was so powerful, wouldn't she have him out of jail? And more to the point, why would she let Deacon land him IN jail? And Lauren feels something isn't right about Ryder? I'm telling you that brat is Shelia's son.

All this time and no one has bothered to tell Lily that Tyra and Devon rumbaed in the sheets and she left town?

What in the WORLD does self-absorbed Billy know about running a magazine? That's the great thing about soaps, you don't have to have any knowledge or education to snag a high paying job or to start your own business. Even funnier than Billy running it is Chloe's recommendation based solely on the fact that he got them some idiotic quote!

Daniel asked Amber to marry him? Geez that kid needs someone to show him some kindness and shoot him before it's too late.

thoughts on today's show

LMAO (wouldn't it be great if that were really possible?!) when Sharon told Adam that "Victor has a great capacity to forgive the people he loves". Yeah, and all it requires is a family tragedy.
We know, "the Newmans always pull together in tragedy" because well, they've reminded us so damn many times, it's hard to forget.

We haven't seen that stupid magazine for weeks (or has it been months) now suddenly we're right back where we started with everyone being so stressed out at publication time. UGH! Hate it. It's as repetitive a storyline as it was with Jabot always being broke and on the verge of bankruptcy.

Victor was surprised Ashley wanted the ranch? Surely he recalls his other divorce proceedings. And why was Nicki shocked to hear that Ashley wanted the ranch? Didn't she herself get it in one of the aforementioned divorce proceedings? How could Victor own it when she lived there with Jack and the gyne husband? Wow, that's what you call "good will" if it's true.

If Steve and Traci live in NY, why would they bury Colleen in GC? And wouldn't it be more likely she'd be cremated so they could at least take her ashes home with them?

Chloe needs to stop arguing with Billy, grow a pair and sign the divorce papers. Chance is a decent guy with a good job and Billy is pretty much an alcoholic, unemployed, irresponsible hot head, who, into his 30's doesn't even have control of his own trust fund. Yeah, real difficult decision when you have a small child.

cry me a seven figure river...Eric Braeden is out at Y&R

Genoa City fans who were holding out hope that Victor Newman will stay should start prepping their goodbyes now: Eric Braeden told EW.com exclusively today that “it’s the end of the road” and he’s “pulled the plug” on any more talks to stay on The Young and the Restless.

show stuff

Did you catch the fact that Sharon's baby remains was marked "Newman baby"? How would the mortuary know that?

OldAdam quit because of the gay storyline, which they dropped almost as quickly as it started.

I am sooo disappointed to see this Patti crap is going to continue. I was hoping that was the end of her. Then again, this whole show has been disappointing me.

FIRE THE WRITERS!!!

Y&R NEEDS NEW WRITERS AND A NEW DIRECTION!!!!

The soap forums are all a twitter about how everyone is hating the direction Y&R is taking.

These storylines are so ridiculous and unbelievable. The baby swap, for instance. We're expected to swallow the fact that two women who weren't even pregnant at the same time, go into labor at the same time, at the same mental hospital and both are having girls. Puhleeze.

And the Victor storyline is equally ridiculous. The IDIOT WRITERS want us to believe that Colleen's heart would be a good match for Victor. First of all, it's female to male donation, which more often than not ends in organ rejection. Secondly, his body is twice the weight of hers, another determining factor when it comes to organ donation. NO WAY would her heart be a good match for him.

Sad thing is the writers don't even bother themselves with things like FACTS.
