I think one of the WORST things Y&R is doing right now concerns the character of Billy.

He is CONSTANTLY seen drinking--mostly to excess--and driving, and often times goes right from the bar to pick up his baby.

WTH, Y&R?! Could you be a tad more irresponsible with your messages? And why in the world would Kay's granddaughter buy a BAR of all things, when her grandmother is an alcoholic?

FIRE THE WRITERS!!!

Y&R NEEDS NEW WRITERS AND A NEW DIRECTION!!!!

The soap forums are all a twitter about how everyone is hating the direction Y&R is taking.

These storylines are so ridiculous and unbelievable. The baby swap, for instance. We're expected to swallow the fact that two women who weren't even pregnant at the same time, go into labor at the same time, at the same mental hospital and both are having girls. Puhleeze.

And the Victor storyline is equally ridiculous. The IDIOT WRITERS want us to believe that Colleen's heart would be a good match for Victor. First of all, it's female to male donation, which more often than not ends in organ rejection. Secondly, his body is twice the weight of hers, another determining factor when it comes to organ donation. NO WAY would her heart be a good match for him.

Sad thing is the writers don't even bother themselves with things like FACTS.

Love how Chloe turned her favorite things about Billy into something about her....LOL! "My absolute favorite thing about Billy is how he looks standing next to me." And I also LMAO when she said one of her favorite things was Billy's "loyalty".

I felt bad for Jill because I think she really wanted Katherine to be her mother and was heartbroken when she wasn't.

I like Cane, but he's nuts if he thinks HE and Lily would make better parents for Delia than Billy and Chloe. That's not his decision to make.

friday's rant

I think Karen is so desperate to hang on to Neil, that she's trying to adopt Ana before Tyra gets a chance.

Victor made such a JERK of himself by dedicating that plaque to Brad and giving it to Abby and Colleen. He would have been better off keeping his damn mouth shut.

What a slap in the face to Ashley by Brad putting a twentysomething in charge of her daughter's estate.

Why in the WORLD didn't Lily just tell Cane that the reason she didn't tell him about the paternity is because she only found out the day before at the cabin?

I loved it when Tyra ran with Ana. I just hope they KEEP running....right off the damn show.

I seriously doubt the hospital would let Cane schlep that newborn baby around all day as if she were a toy. And when he wasn't handling it, Jill and Esther were.

Soooo, Victor is suddenly no longer Abby's father? Weird now that works. She seemed to consider him her father when she accepted that overpriced million dollar horse.

Hard to tell who the bigger jerk is: Neil, for not stopping that kiss or Tara, for telling a newly married man that she was in love with him. And Karen? HELLO?! Why did you freaking sneak out without ripping them BOTH a new asshole?!

wednesday's woes

LOL'ing my butt off at Ashley thinking Victor's offer of the board seat was his way of "rising above the rivalry" he has with Jack. Sweet, sweet, idiotic Ashley. As IF Victor has a decent bone in his body.

Note to Adam: stop boo hoo'ing about how horrible your life is because Daddy and the step kids are all "against you". You were an asshole at every twist and turn. Karma, dude. Man up and admit YOUR PART in all of your mess.

Tyra is all class. One minute she's feeling bad because she kissed Karen's husband and the next minute they're swapping spit again.

Poor Baby Ashby/Abbott to be saddled with a name like "Cordelia Katherine Valentine Ashby". YUCK!

What in the world does Lauren know about disciplining a teenager? She sent Scotty away when he was a small child and she never even mentions the kid now. Every time Michael tries to come down on Eden for one of her stunts, Lauren goes all soft and starts with the "we love having you because we're family" crap, which Eden totally takes advantage of.

Nick's excuse to rush off to see Sharon was totally contrived. He wasn't sure he wanted Sharon to hear the news from Jack? Puhleeze. Yet when the accident first happened and no one knew Noah's condition, they were content to just FAX her the news. Suddenly Nick has to drive there to tell her he's ok? There was nothing Sharon could do at that point anyway, and why put both of their lives at risk driving in a storm? Face it, Nick, you're just not over her. Ya big unfaithful JERK. And after all that, Sharon flips out on his ass for not staying with Noah. There's no pleasing her.

I got a kick out of 'poor poor pitiful me' Eden saying every time she and Noah "try to have fun," someone gets in trouble. Gee, maybe that's because she keeps lying about everything.

I can't believe how stupid Ashley is being. Brad is totally right. HE is Abby's father. Suddenly they're all trying to replace him in her life and Abby is so money hungry, that she doesn't give a shit as long as she gets "stuff".
Nicki is right, too. Victor was soooo deep in love with Sabrina that he didn't want to eat. Oh, gawd, it was the END OF HIS WORLD!!! The same day he meets Ashley in Paris they're in bed together. Yeah, that's love.

Well, Nicki got a phone call from her sister. Must be time for Melody to take a vacation!

Beth Maitland needs to dump that long hair. It doesn't look good at all.

Glo is a COMPLETE IDIOT for agreeing to sell to Victor. If she opens her big mouth, which is highly likely, she'll end up with NOTHING. And if Victor wanted to cheat her, he could just refuse to give her any money.

Brad googling the cabin was as creepy as Kevin finding the house plans to Nick's place online. STALKERS!!

And how in the world does owning a measly 5% of the stock give Victor the right to tell anyone what to do? With those shares, Jill is back in control. She knows damn well he's not going to give the shares to the Abbott family, so who else is left?

I guess the writers of Y&R are having such a hard time coming up with any NEW storylines that they're forced to redo all the old ones.

Guess who is behind this Roger guy dating Esther? None other than Clint Radison, Gina's ex and the guy who set the whole Marge thing into motion before.

What's next on the Y&R horizon? Is Paul going to give Nikki an STD?

tuesdays rant

If I were Victor Newman, the first thing I’d do is fire those good for nothing guards at his gate. ANY riff raff can get past them, including reporters, people he’s specifically excluded from the guest list, such as Jack and Nicki and most recently thieves, Jana and Kevin.

Once again Neil gets a kick in the ass from Victor for his loyalty. Wow. Just like real life.

Kevin refuses a “hand out” from his own brother, but has no problem STEALING money from Katherine? Yeah, that makes Baldwin sense.

I love how nonchalantly Michael announces to Eden that Kevin took the money from Noah’s house. How in the world is he going to explain that to Phyllis and Nick?

It just makes me laugh every time Lauren and Michael gush about how much they love having Eden in their house. She’s nothing but a sulking liar. He and Eden make a great pair. It's hilarious how Sharon is always shocked that he lied to her, when he does it again and again and again. THEN she has the balls to question Phyllis about her mothering skills. "Did you verify this?" when Phyllis said Noah was at her place doing homework. Yeah, Sharon, she VERIFIED it the same way you verified Noah's whereabouts on New Year's Eve.

Nick is such a CREEP for dumping Restless Style on Phyllis after he made such a huge deal about trying something new. He "loves Newman and he always will"?! Now four or fives issues later, he’s over it? And there’s NO WAY he should be spending time alone with Sharon after what happened in Paris. Phyllis needs to hire herself a hottie editor. And where is Nicki in all of this? Wasn’t she working for them, too?

Sharon better watch her step or Phyllis might try to run her over with a car...

Amber is an annoying PITA. If God spoke to her in a dream and told her she had designing talent, she’d probably think that was true, too. And after seeing that jacket, we all know that ain’t true.

How is it that none of the women on Y&R have close female friends that they can ask to be in their wedding?

I love how one person becomes “crazies coming out of the woodwork” to Jill. Lord love a drama queen.

Olivia turned out to be a great friend to Karen, didn’t she? What in the world she thinks Neil and Tyra have in common is beyond me. I don’t think he has chemistry with either one of them.

I'm confused: is Victor in jail or at the Genoa City Hotel that he's allowed to move freely from room to room, holding meetings with other inmates?

And if the DA had a lick of sense, they would have frozen Adam's bank account the minute they felt the diary was a scam and Adam was a flight risk. But, of course, they've proven their (lack of) abilities time and time again.

I never realized that the DA had the ability to let an arrested criminal leave on his own recognizance? First, Heather has Adam arrested and read his rights. Second, he shows up at her office in his suit, so obviously he didn’t spend the night in jail. Where was he? Then she questions him and LETS HIM GO! She’s a judge now? Has she never heard of “flight risk”? And again, isn’t all of this up to a JUDGE to decide? Geez, no wonder she can’t hang on to this job.

Prosecuting Victor Newman is a “conflict of interest” for Heather, but prosecuting her ex-finace ISN’T? I LMAO when the DA said to Heather, “Remind me never to cross you.“ Why? She hasn’t won a single case yet.

Wasn't it great how they slid that V8 public service announcement into the show at Crimson Lights? Could they have BEEN more obvious?

Jill is moving upstairs at Jabot because she has stock? Are all the stockholders living upstairs now?

What would Eden know about the Baldwin family house rules? Other than how to break every one of them.
