Why is Colleen working at a coffee shop? Didn’t she attend college? Isn’t her dad an executive at Jabot Cosmetics? Doesn’t her uncle own his own magazine? She ought to be ashamed living with her uncle instead of trying to find a job where she can earn enough to live on her own.

I have never liked Ted Shackleford. I always thought he was stuffy and boooring. But I have to say that I’m really liking him lately as Jeff Bardwell. He’s much more fun. I know everybody bitches about the stuff Gloira has gotten away with, but I’m rather indifferent to that. I don’t think any of it will ever be resolved until it’s time for Judith Chapman to leave the show. Then I’m sure she’ll be shipped off to the Big House.

Wow. Does Little Richard ever need acting lessons. And if he wanted to convince Glo of his identity, why didn’t he play a song we might recognize, like Good Golly Miss Molly?

I love how Phyllis keeps yammering on and on about how it will cost FIVE MILLION DOLLARS to create an animated character for the website. I thought that was part of HER JOB?

Considering all the stuff that Michael Baldwin has done in his life, I find it rather ironic that he expects his father to be a big hero.

How does Paul make any money when he gives his services away for free? You don’t see Michael giving him free legal representation.

For the love of GOD, I wish the writers would marry Kevin and Jana already! I'm sick of hearing about this wedding. Almost as much as I'm sick of hearing about karma and prosperity and good luck.

How pathetic is Chloe that she has to invite herself to Lily's party?

Daytime Emmy thoughts

Congrats to Kristoff St. John for his win last night at the Daytime Emmy's. I can't believe Jana, Kevin and Colleen were even nominated. When was the last time Colleen even had a storyline?

I find it interesting that while The Young and The Restless has been Number One in the ratings for the last 20 years, they've only won the "Outstanding Drama Series" award 7 times. They've lost it more than won it and yet they remain on top in ratings. Weird.

How stupid were the Y&R people for submitting Clear Springs tape for the Outstanding Drama Series category? That storyline sucked from the word "go".

I did like the set up for the awards ceremony. It was MUCH BETTER than that stupid stage in the round the Oscars used.

here comes the bride...yet again

How in the world did Newman family and friends work up any enthusiasm for the wedding of a man who has been married SEVEN times with two invalid marriages to boot? A total of TEN trips down the aisle? He's worn the damn thing out already.

Poor Sabrina was forced to ask Jana to be in the wedding because there was no one else, not unlike Victoria asking Phyllis to be godmother because again, no one else.



I know this wedding was thrown together on the fly, but could they have found an UGLIER, PLAINER dress for the flower girls?










From the second she tried it on, I kept wanting to push that damn "right sleeve" up into place. Then I realized it was suppose to droop like that. That would drive me nuts!

From the “bad acting” file: Victoria looked totally baffled as to how she could hold a baby in one arm and a cup of coffee in the other today. Ya put the baby in the stroller at your side and pick up the coffee. Whoa. That was difficult.

The overly romantic gestures on Victor’s part are sooo incredibly cloying. What guy acts that way? Especially considering how completely he ignores “the little woman” once she becomes his wife. Gawd, I can’t wait for him to act like she’s a gigantic idiot after she’s offered her opinion on something. You know, like he does with everyone in his life. But how much more fun it would be if she was totally playing him and scammed his out of millions. I hate that Eric Braden always has to come out of his storylines smelling like a rose. NOBODY wins all the time. Not even Victor Newman. It makes his character a joke.

1. Dru "hid" her modeling career? Umm, wouldn't the pretty pictures in the magazines be a BIG RED FLAG?

2. I thought Neil sold his plane when he bought Indigo? At least I remember his upset at having to sell the "gift" Victor gave him, and yet he told Lily it was "being repaired" today.

3. Sabrina called her mother that she is not close to and told her she was getting married, yet didn't bother to find out where her mother is living? Why bother to call at all?

4. What is the purpose of security at the Newman ranch when apparently anyone can walk in the front door unannounced, including Neil?

1. Again, what is Amber's business? She puts drawings in fashion magazines and people order from the ad? Um, HELLO? Who does business like this? And how is she going to sew these dresses? On her Singer at home?

2. What's with Jack suddenly wanting to do right by Glo because of his dad? He didn't give a shit about his dad's feelings when he cheated Glo out of her inheritance or kept her from the funeral.

3. Nick couldn't pick up a phone and run the idea of a CD insert past Jack and Sharon? And what's with him promising all this publicity to Katy? This is only issue number two, for Pete's sake. Not like they're Vogue.

4. Only the rich would use a newly renovated pool house as a dog house.

5. Phyl actually seems jealous now that Jr. isn't sniffing around her anymore.

6. Speaking of Jr. what happened to the chick he was sleeping with two weeks ago? I hope this isn't a sign that the show is reverting back to LML days when a character would appear then suddenly disappear without warning. They brought in a character just so Jr could find out about Chow's gambling?

7. Only on the soaps do business people work all hours of the night and day. Cane stops in the RS offices late at night expecting to talk about their ad?!

1. How long will Katherine pump $ into Amber's design "business"? And what exactly IS her business? Put ads featuring your designs in them and hope someone will buy them? Huh?!s

2. If Jeffrey "loves" Glo so much, why doesn't he put her up in a house with all the moola he swindled out of her? I'm not buying this "she needs to be around John" B.S. because she's currently living with Michael and Lauren. No memories of John there.

3. Nikki told Jill she's P.O.'ed because "sales are up"?! How would she know? She's only been there about a month, two tops, hardly long enough to see ANY significant changes in sales figures.

4. How can a broke-ass David Chow afford a private investigator to tail a private investigator?

5. Why does Jack CARE who donated the $?

6. "You filled your nose with snow." Who writes those stupid lines?

7. Amber's working on her "ads" when she's on the Restless Style dime? She doesn't have any other responsibilities? Now that Daniel is gone and "arguing with Daniel every day" has been scratched off her "To Do" list, seems like she can do whatever she wants.

8. I'm not a fan of Peter Bergman's acting, but he's looking great lately. He seems to have lost some weight and his skin looks fab.
