I know you can specify who you want to raise your BORN child, if you die, but would Lily really have any say in the matter IF she would die before the babies are actually born? And can she specify "joint custody"? Wouldn't that be the surviving parent's decision?

I think the biggest problem I'm having with this cancer storyline is that Lily is the picture of health.

No matter what she's going through, her makeup is perfect. She didn't even break a sweat with her high fever, and other than the scarves, you'd never know there was anything wrong with her. Heck, they don't even smudge the makeup under her eye to make her look drawn.

On another matter, I LOVE Eileen Davidson's short new do. Very cute!

I nearly fell off my chair laughing Friday when Paul said Lily was a 'very good judge of character'.

First, we have Kevin, preying on underage girls.

Secondly, we have Daniel, her ex-husband, the porno junkie who contributed to her almost getting raped at the Rec Center.

Then we have Billy, who can't control his drinking or his sleeping around.

Now we have Cane, who is also apparently hiding a big secret.

Yep, she's a GREAT judge of character.

That line must have been written by the same person who had Victor telling Nick that "children need stability." How would HE know?

One of the reasons Cane fell in love with Lily is because she's "mature"?! Shut. Up.

I'm SICK of Nick. He's a blithering idiot, who can't make up his mind about anything. He can't even decide where he wants to work: one minute he wants to be at Newman's, the next he needs to 'find himself and be his own man'. He's gone through this time and time again. I just wish Phyllis had the sense to realize she's sooooo much better off without this asshole.

tuesday's rant

Let's see if I have this right: Lily's father is second or third in command at one of the largest corporations in the world AND he owns a bar, her bf is the CEO of Jabot, yet when she's looking for a job, Billy tries to get her one as a freaking BARTENDER?! And she calls him "amazing"?! Way to aim high. Why doesn't she just unload the booze trucks at Daddy's nightclub?

Apparently Esther is even dumber than we all thought. Forget about Tiny, forget about the guy who murdered Rex, she's known this idiot Roger for all of about three days and she's accepting his marriage proposal thinking he truly loves her. Oy.

two good shows in a row?! it's the end of the world as we know it

Another good show today. I can't wait for Lily to connect the dots between Chloe, Billy and the baby. If for no other reason than I can't STAND the thought of a couple named Billy and Lily. UGH.

One thing I like about Phyllis is that she always seems to regret how she and Nick got together. One thing that I hate about Nick is that nothing seems to stick to his cheating ass. When he cheated with Grace, she was the tramp, despite the fact that HE was the one was married. When Nick cheated with Phyllis, again he was the one who was married and she was labeled the 'husband stealing bitch'.

I LMAO at Lauren starring at Katherine the entire time. Great scenes.

What's with Chloe's belly? The other day when she was sitting on the couch with Billy, she looked like a beached whale. Today she looked about five months pregnant. And what kind of a twit would buy her former housekeeper mother a cookbook? Great imagination there, Chloe. Why not buy her a new apron?

Glad to see FallOutGirl is getting back into the dating scene via the internet. I mean it worked out so well for her the first time. Remember that controlling, murderous Kevin she hooked up with?

Of course, what am I thinking? Lily is FRIENDS with him now. Nobody she hooks up with can be much worse, eh? And if they are, wait a week, and she'll be drinking coffee in his cafe and using her money to supplement his income.

What's the deal with Lily suddenly boo hoo'ing about Colleen taking Daniel, as well as her job? As IF she gives a rat's ass about him anymore.

I think she's jealous Cane has replaced her so quickly after making such a fuss over the fact that Lily "was" the "fresh face" of the campaign. Guess she's never heard of a snow job in the name of business.

All I have to say is, "Suck it up, Buttercup. You were only too happy to kick Daniel to the curb and it was your choice to ditch the job. Why not enjoy the fact that your best friend has a chance to shine in the spotlight? Or are you only happy when YOU'RE in the spotlight?"

Is there such a shortage of good looking young women in the world that Cane has to go around asking people in his friend pool if they want to be the "Fresh Face" of Jabot? What about the "runners up" that were in the Fresh Faces contest with Lily? You know, the ones that were never seen again. Don't they deserve a chance before anyone else?

And why is Cane offering the job to Colleen when she's a member of the Abbott family and family was excluded from the original contest? Remember Amber's ruse because she was family?

When kajillionaire Steve Fossett was missing in September 2007, he was not declared legally dead until February 2008 after months and months of searching. One must admire how quickly the Mexican government works. Victor is missing one day, and he's declared dead, his death cert is issued and Adam is acting like a power hungry dictator at Newman. I’m loving that part, though. Can’t wait to see the smart ass fall on his face.

Lily is sorry she didn’t go to modeling school?! She stepped out of total obscurity into a contract with a major cosmetic company, and she’s sorry she didn’t go to modeling school?! Gawd she IS stupid.

Anna to Devon: “You have the whole music thing going on for you and you didn’t have to go to school.” WHAT “music thing”? Sitting around with a kid writing music? I’m just glad they’re getting rid of her, and from the forums I’ve read, I won’t be the only one happy to see her backside hitting the streets.

2. I thought Neil sold his plane when he bought Indigo? At least I remember his upset at having to sell the "gift" Victor gave him, and yet he told Lily it was "being repaired" today.

3. Sabrina called her mother that she is not close to and told her she was getting married, yet didn't bother to find out where her mother is living? Why bother to call at all?

4. What is the purpose of security at the Newman ranch when apparently anyone can walk in the front door unannounced, including Neil?

What is Chloe smoking?! She’s going to give Nikki a “not so subtle reminder” of what Lily is “worth” to the company? Puhleeze. You see what she’s worth to the company. Restless Style didn’t hesitate to bump her off the cover of the magazine because she’s a NOBODY. There are a million pretty faces that could replace her in a heartbeat. And after the way she mouthed off to Nikki, maybe she should remind Chloe there are a million managers out there who could replace her, as well.

Lily had a miscarriage last week and when Colleen asked her about it today, she said, “The past is the past.” Geez, that was a fast recovery.

I wonder if Jana put her criminal history on her application for the Newman "Gallery"? And give me a break with this whole "gallery" thing. This is just Victor keeping his piece o'ass happy. He never showed the slightest interest in "building a collection". And is Sabrina going to report to him on every damn piece she buys?

I LOL’ed at Sabrina’s description of Victor as “surprisingly kind”. Yeah, he’s so kind he’s alienated his entire family, save the bastard child.

“Your mother would blink when she was troubled about something.” Good grief. Who writes this crap? People blink all the time.

Lily tells Cane she worked "SO hard" for her modeling career? Excuse me, she won a damn contest. Up until that point, she showed no interest whatsoever in a modeling career.

Chow returns home and tells Nikki there was no cell phone service at the hospital where his uncle was taken. No landlines either?

What in the world was Neil thinking asking his gf to raise his daughter's baby?! He doesn't even think enough of Karen to make her his wife, and yet he wants her to raise his grandkid? Unbelievable.

Funny how all the women in Victor Newman's life ignore the signs of how controlling and cold he is. Sabrina is baffled as to why he isn't upset by Vikki's reaction to their affair. She walks in on him yelling on the phone to a business acquaintance. He buys Nick's mortgage then insists his stupid museum be in that building. But I'm sure all these little things won't mean much to Sabrina until after he starts running her life. Oh, wait, he already has. He's made sure she stays in GC, instead of NYC. And he's making sure she lives with him where he can keep an eye on her.

If they insist on pushing this "Lily is so rundown and worn out" storyline then they need to start changing her make-up to reflect that. S

And UGH!! stop with all the French talk from Sabrina. How elitist. She and Victor make the perfect snobs. Today's show is a perfect example of why I hate Victor. When Nick bought the warehouse, he was an idiot with no hope of succeeding. Victor buys his mortgage because "it's a sound business decision". Riiiight. It's always different when dear old Dad does something.

I know I've been ragging on Lily for being so immature, but today's scenes with Kahlil and St. John were some of her best EVER.

This pregnancy issue is turning out to be rather interesting, in light of the fact that Lily has suddenly decided she wants to be a model and having the baby will interfere with that. I don't agree with abortion because a child is an inconvenience, but this is definitely one of Y&R's better storylines right now.
