I'm NOT a Billy Miller fan, but I thought Thursday's show, in which John Abbott showed Billy what his life was going to be like if he continued on the path he was on, was really good.
I loved the part where John called him a "smart ass" and where Billy said, "Are YOU high? Am I high?!"

the plane crash that wasn't
The plane "crash" was a HOOT!!
Right after the FAA guy told Nick there was nothing for miles around the crash site, the pilot walks into the airport! LOL!
And there's Adam with no jacket, sitting in the snow, acting as if he's not the least bit cold.
As far as "crash" "scenery", they certainly saved a bundle by having a few fires lit here and there, and little else!

hair raising
I can't decide whether or not I like Melody as a brunette. I know she DEFINITELY looks younger.
That brassy, longer blonde hair made her look so much older than she is, but I think she might have gone too dark.
Overall, big improvement:)
And I must have read wrong, I was under the impression Victor came back BEFORE Nicki.

guess it made sense on paper....
Why would you ask an almost blind guy to babysit your infant child when your perfectly healthy teenage daughter is up in her room pouting?

ok that's it
Now that Lauren uttered the "S" word...Shelia...and Michael reassured her Shelia is dead, I'm totally convinced Shelia is Ryder's mother.

out with the "old" in with the new
Yay, I'm all for a switch. Here's why I don't like him: he doesn't have the commanding presence of a big figure like Victor or Alan Spaulding. He's too meekish. I don't like him although I will admit, he seems to have good chemistry with Jess Walton.

Y&R Shocker: Stephen Nichols Replaces William Russ
by Michael Logan December 16, 2009 10:08 PM EST
That was fast. Actor William Russ, who hit The Young and the Restless December 2 as the Donald Trump-esque jillionaire Tucker McCall, has been ousted from the role and replaced by Days of Our Lives great Stephen Nichols (Patch). Nichols was due to begin taping December 17 and will appear on air January 27. The Y&R execs have kept their statements brief. Co-exec producer/head writer Maria Arena Bell says: “William Russ is a talented actor and we enjoyed working with him. However, we decided to take the character in another direction.” Adds co-exec producer Paul Rauch: “[Russ] did a wonderful job while he was here.”
Why the switch? Here’s my thought: Russ, known for his recurring roles on Boston Legal and The Ex List, has been giving a performance that seems strong enough, but it may be that the soap needed more superstar luster because Tucker will eventually be revealed to have a shocking (and we do mean shocking!) connection to a major (and we do mean major!) denizen of Genoa City. Check back here soon for an exclusive interview with Nichols.

simply hair raising
When Patty went into the nuthouse she was wearing a blonde wig. Now all of a sudden, that wig has brown roots....go figure.
